Statistical information from the World Bank Open Data


The World Bank is providing free and open access to a comprehensive set of data about development in countries around the globe. The databases contain statistical information on most of the nations from the following topics:
agriculture & rural development, aid effectiveness, economic policy and external debt, education, energy and mining, environment, financial sector, health, infrastructure, labor & social protection, poverty, private sector, public sector, science & technology, social development, urban development.

The World Bank Open Data resources include databases (such as World Development Indicators WDI, Global Development Finance GDF, African Development Indicators ADI and Global Economic Monitor GEM), pre-formatted tables and reports. The search results or the entire database can be downloaded and exported e.g. to Excel. 

The individual databases can be found in the Nelli portal and can also be used directly at the World Bank Open Data: http://data.worldbank.org/.
