No access to PaperChem

Currently, we have no access to the Elsevier database PaperChem, also know as Paper Village 2. The publisher has been asked to renew access immediately.

Ullmann's and Kirk-Othmer finally back in use

Wiley's reference works Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology and Ullmann's Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry are back in use after a long break in service.

I apologise for the inconvenience caused by the unusually long break!

New resources

Becoming a part of the new Aalto University has given us access to many new resources, mainly from the fields of economics, management, art and design. Ten new databases and more than 1500 new journals are now available, as well as three new reference works and some new tools. Scopus finally back in use, except for a service break on Sunday

The Scopus database is finally back in use. Elsevier apologise for the long break in service and reassure us that the database will be in use from now on. Except, of course, for the scheduled maintenance break on Sunday, 14 March, when the system is down for approximately 8.5 hours from 5:30am GMT to 2:00pm GMT. Hopefully no further problems will occure.

Access to Scopus down again

Since last Friday we have not been able to access the Scopus database. The publisher has been asked to renew access immediately.
