Orbis, Zephyr and Bankscope in use

Three new databases: Orbis, Zephyr and Bankscope are now in use on all of the Aalto University campuses. They can be found in the Nelli-portal.

ORBIS is a comprehensive database of companies around the world, containing information on 70 million companies. Information is gathered from nearly 100 sources and is filtered into various standard report formats. Coverage is constantly increasing: both depth of data and number of countries. ORBIS has sections of superlative coverage including listed companies worldwide, public and private banks and insurance companies plus private European companies, as well as a unique ownership database.

ZEPHYR is a comprehensive database of deal information worldwide, containing approximately 800 000 transactions. It contains information on M&A, IPO, private equity and venture capital deals. It also contains links to the detailed financial information on the companies involved in the deals.

BANKSCOPE is a database of banks' financial statements, ratings and intelligence, with up to 16 years of detailed accounts for each bank. It contains comprehensive information on banks across the globe. It can be used to research individual banks and to find banks with specific profiles for further analysis.
